MARK FIORE AND FREE LUNCH!
The Working Assets Speaker's Series presents a talk from political
cartoonist Mark Fiore, whose sharply satirical animated cartoons
appear on websites including WorkingForChange. Formerly the staff
political cartoonist for the San Jose Mercury News, Fiore recently
received the Online Journalism Award for commentary from the Online
News Association and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
Our program includes a free lunch available starting at 11:30 a.m.
Please plan to arrive early as all guests go through the security
procedures of the building, which require
picture ID. Due to
heightened security procedures, only people who have responded by name
in advance will be able to attend. Also, access to restrooms isn't

"Tanner on Tanner," a four part mini-series, is a follow-up to
director Robert Altman and writer Garry Trudeau's TV miniseries
"Tanner '88," a critical and comic look at American politics. The
update, set during the 2004 presidential race follows Jack Tanner, a
former congressman whose bid for the White House ended at the 1988
Democratic convention, who is now the subject of a documentary film
